At MehtaCognition, we explore the intersection of Culture, Strategy, and Talent, and how it enables organizations make better decisions for their people.

The MehtaCognition Difference

  • We’re not like other consultants you’ve hired. In fact, some of our clients have called us the “anti-consultancy.” It’s maybe a little non-traditional, but that’s part of what we hope to convey from the jump.

  • We work with purpose-driven, people-first leaders who understand that org transformation is the inseparable combination of culture, strategy and talent .

Changing one will inevitably impact the others, so all must be considered when attempting to evolve any.

(If culture is your non-negotiable, and strategy is what you’ll build that’s uniquely you, talent is who makes it all possible.)

  • At MehtaCognition, we do. We believe that leadership is a choice and a privilege, and we invest in those who choose this responsibility on behalf of others. We immerse ourselves in your culture, take on the responsibility and the accountability, and we sweat the details of process and outcomes as if we were you. We stay with you through the project’s completion, deliver more than we promised or you expected, and we’ll be there before you know you need us again.

  • When you bring us in, the first thing we’ll tell you is that we’re on your team. Think of us that way, because that’s how we act.

Our only goal is to help you better understand yourself and then design innovative, custom solutions that hold true to your core identity.

  • We’re here to support you in creating and maintaining forward momentum, whether that’s in inches or miles. We’ll help you get further than you anticipate, faster than you hoped.

  • Ok, yes, everyone has a process. What makes ours unique is that the end result will be custom to you. We don’t do cookie-cutter strategies or pre-packaged recommendations. And you don’t have to take our word for it; our clients tell us this directly. The final product will reflect your individual challenge, culture, and community.

Everything starts with listening, of course. But we go several steps further. We examine what’s been done in the past. We ask the community, we talk to your front line teams, we develop insights, outline priorities, and identify “the doers” to ensure accountability and eventual success.

  • Mostly, we do this because it just makes sense. If we’re all operating from a space of shared understanding, we’ll get to the solution faster and more efficiently. Aside from that, it’s the only way to maintain trust and trust is the bedrock of all we do.

  • Your peace of mind is non-negotiable for us. To facilitate that, we establish a regular rhythm of communication with each other and our partners to ensure practical transparency. We should all know what’s going on at any given moment, where we are on the timeline, and what deliverables are due. We’ll never throw a curveball in front of a crowd and we’ll always work in the background to make even the tough pills palatable.

  • This is a promise we make to all our clients on day one. Because your agenda is our agenda, your success is also our success, and your credibility is the only way we earn ours.

  • This is a philosophy we all embrace. It requires trust in the relationship and the belief that the feedback offered is for the betterment of the project or the person doing the work. Where others promote radical transparency, we prefer kind truth.

  • We do the work alongside the team and we teach as we go, building the leadership muscle required to bring the plan to life.

  • We all know that we make more mistakes when we’re moving too fast and yet most of the time we don’t have the option to slow down. MehtaCognition helps on this front, too. Our process creates the space you need to breathe, flex, learn, and think so you can achieve everything you need now and tomorrow.

  • Essentially, this means we believe in something bigger than ourselves. We have a role to play in making the world a better place, and we like working with others who share that belief.

  • To paraphrase futurist Paul Saffo, we are guided by strong beliefs based on experience and we are willing to pivot when we learn more. We approach every project knowing that we’ll have greater success if we remain flexible and open-minded.

  • Jim Collins coined the phrase “who-luck,” defined as that moment you come across somebody who changes your trajectory or invests in you, bets on you, and gives you guidance. Our commitment is to be that reciprocal who-luck for you, as others have been for us. We invest in you, as you will invest in us.

This means we’re pretty selective about the clients we choose. We have a small airplane, so we always fill the seats with high-impact projects led by purpose-driven, people-first leaders so we can add the greatest value.

At first glance, our services may seem familiar. The difference is our process.

MehtaCognition moves schools forward. They go into difficult situations and are able to navigate them. They’re good at asking the right questions, at listening, at learning the culture of the school they’re working with, and at understanding where they are and where they need to go.
